What does a SaaS MVP actually include?
Our standard SaaS MVP includes: authentication (email, social), core feature set (agreed in scoping), Stripe subscription billing, a basic user dashboard, and a marketing site. It deliberately excludes features that can be added post-validation, admin panels, advanced analytics, enterprise SSO, and integrations. The goal is a working product in the hands of paying users as quickly as possible.
How do you handle Stripe subscriptions and billing?
We use Stripe Checkout and the Customer Portal for the billing UX, with Stripe webhooks handled server-side using idempotency keys and a retry queue. We implement free trials, plan upgrades/downgrades, coupon codes, and usage-based billing if required. Stripe billing is one of our most common SaaS deliverables, we've done it many times and have a reliable implementation pattern.
How do you build multi-tenancy?
We use a shared database with row-level security (Postgres RLS) for most SaaS products, it's simpler to operate than a separate-database-per-tenant model and scales well for most use cases. Organisation accounts, team invitations, role-based access control (RBAC), and per-tenant billing plans are all standard. For products with strict data isolation requirements, we can architect a separate-schema model.
Do you build the marketing site as well as the app?
Yes, and we strongly recommend building both together. A SaaS product without a marketing site ranking for its target keywords is leaving growth on the table from day one. We build conversion-optimised marketing sites with on-page SEO, structured data, and Core Web Vitals baked in, not as an afterthought.
